Appearance[]

Tamiko has chest-length black hair that is styled in tight ringlets and blue-grey eyes.

Biography[]

Tamiko has been managing Yuzuki's career ever since she won a role on TV aged four. She and her daughter debut in episode 2 as attendees of the informal Antarctic Challenge Foundation meetup which was gatecrashed by Shirase Kobuchizawa, Mari Tamaki and Hinata Miyake. Tamiko is later introduced by Kanae Maekawa to Yumiko Samejima at a nearby café. She agrees a deal with the Antarctic Challenge Foundation in which they would bring Yuzuki with them as part of her reporting duties.

The next day, Tamiko tracks down her daughter at Shirase Kobuchizawa's house, after her number was called by Shirase's phone. When Shirase asks to take over Yuzuki's reporting duties by going to Antarctica in her place, Tamiko requests an ad-hoc audition. Both Shirase and Hinata fail, so Tamiko leaves with Yuzuki. In the middle of their walk back, Yuzuki angrily walks away from her mother. Tamiko is then said to have met Shirase again, by herself, agreeing a compromise that would allow Shirase to go with Yuzuki if the latter can be convinced to go. Eventually, Yuzuki calls Tamiko to accept the reporting offer, but only if she's allowed to bring all of Shirase, Mari and Hinata with her too.

Tamiko hugs her daughter goodbye at the end of episode 5, and reunites with her at the end of the last episode. In between, at around Christmas while Yuzuki was still reporting in Antarctica, she sends an email to Yuzuki informing her of her successful audition for a drama role.
